40 Years In Business

It’s been a huge year for us all at MK Marking Systems. We’ve been celebrating our 40th year in business. We’ve grown with the city of Milton Keynes and we are the longest established signage design & manufacturer in the area.

Our customers know us for our exceptional service and industry knowledge. Whether it’s vehicle wrapping, shop signs, stamps, window graphics, door signage, business building directories, totems, or the makeover of entire buildings, we do it all.

In 1985, Richard and Caroline Moore established MK Marking Systems in Milton Keynes and predominantly focused on stamps and branding irons, this was long before asset tags. Stephen Curry joined in 1997 as an apprentice and 28 years later, when Richard decided it was time to retire from the business, he didn’t have to look far to find someone to take it forward. Stephen had learnt everything there was to know about the business over the years, from running the huge printing machines, installing the signs, through to using the design software, quoting and invoicing.

Today, 18 months on from taking over the business, we have been busy streamlining processes, introducing new efficiencies including workflow software, new accounting systems and investing in new printers. We also recently rejoined the Chamber of Commerce as a Gold Partner and we are looking forward to being the main sponsor at the Milton Keynes Business Exhibition in November 2025.
