Big Things Are Happening at Kiln Farm

There’s a bit of extra buzz in our Kiln Farm workshop this week—and it’s not just the usual sound of production. We’ve officially taken delivery of our newest team member, and she’s a bit of a giant.

As part of our long-term investment plan for MK Marking, we’ve always aimed to stay at the cutting edge of signage technology. For many years now, our Mimaki UJF 6042 has been a reliable workhorse for smaller, intricate jobs. But as our customers' ambitions grew, we knew we needed something to take on the bigger and more elaborate jobs.

Enter the Mimaki JFX200 EX. Think of it as the UJF’s "bigger, faster, and much more capable sister." While the old machine was perfect for desktop-sized items, the JFX200 EX is a large-format flatbed powerhouse.

What Does This Mean for You Our Customers?

While the headline feature is the sheer scale—the ability to print directly onto rigid materials up to a full 8' x 4' sheet—the true value lies in the expanded possibilities. By complementing our existing roll-feed UV and Latex wide-format printers, this new technology significantly reduces lead times and allows for unprecedented diversity in our product range.

Bringing in a machine of this caliber isn't quite like plugging in a new office inkjet. Because of the significant footprint of the JFX200 EX, we’re currently playing a high-stakes game of "Workshop Tetris." Over the coming weeks, you’ll notice some changes to our office and production layout. We’re streamlining our space to accommodate the new workflow and ensure that our improved production times translate directly into faster delivery for you.
