Last week we celebrated Simon's 30 years of service, our longest serving employee. Simon joined MK Marking in 1995 when the business was focused more on marking assets and stamps.
MK Marking now has 15 employees and between them they have an incredible 206 years of service. The average length of service is nearly 14 years and when we asked why people stay working with us, this is what they said;
“It's a great place to work. Everyone works together, we work hard but it's rewarding to see the business grow.”
Over the 30 years that Simon has been with the business, he's done a number of different roles but he's always produced stamps. Whether it's a stamp with your logo on, plain text, a signature or something else, we have the capability to create a stamp to meet your needs. The die part of the stamp is created using a laser which cuts the rubber die to the specified design. An ink pad is then inserted into the stamp, which 99% of the time is black but other common colours include red, green and blue.
While stamps have always been Simon's domain, looking after customers and making sure they have exactly what they want is another passion of Simon's. He enjoys building relationships with customers and as a company we pride ourselves by our personal approach.
"We want to make sure people are happy with what they've got and if there's any problems we like to sort it out."
We're looking forward to celebrating Simon's 40th year with the company in 2035!
